Fall Back!

That's right bloggers, it is time once again to fall back! Time to turn the clocks back an hour. Did you remember to do this last night? I'm so happy that we're getting an extra hour of sleep again. It couldn't have come at a better time.

Well, Halloween is past, November is here, and Thanksgiving is upon us! It's all going so fast this year. I've already seen people with Christmas decorations out around town. My sister and grandma are part of it already. They went ahead and put up Christmas trees lol. Even though its over a month away, people are starting to get in the mood. But is it going to feel like winter anytime soon? Sure it's been chilly, but not down right cold by any means just yet. Take a look at tonight's forecasted lows.
Cold lows tonight in the low 30s below freezing, to the upper 20s around 29* degrees in areas. Our nights have been cold lately however not our daytime highs. I have been going through the MOS models as well as the NAO and AO models. Right now they're indicating another shot at some upper 50s / low 60s as our high once we head into the second week of November. NAO and AO models showing signs of going neutral to positive once again. Which means higher temperatures. This is something we will keep an eye on as I know we have some cold and snow lovers out there! Take a look at the NAO model for yourself below.
What you're looking at on this chart above is the red lines. Once they go over that horizontal black line, that's when the NAO is in a positive phase. Below is a negative phase, and the middle is a neutral phase.

Here's a look at your detailed forecast for the next few days below.

TONIGHT- we will see partly cloudy skies over the area with a cold low around 29* degrees. Winds will be light and calm between 5 and 10 mph.

MONDAY- highs will be chilly around 49* degrees with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies through out the day. A low Monday night around 29* degrees with light winds between 3 and 5 mph.

TUESDAY- we will see mostly cloudy skies through out the day. A chance of a few light scattered showers in the evening / possible mix later that night. Any precipitation would be around a tenth inch or less. Expect a high around 49* degrees with a low that night around 36* degrees. Winds between 5 and 8 mph.

Have a great Sunday everyone.
