Flash Flood Watch ..... Is in effect through late tonight for.

Benton,

Newton,

Jasper, Counties.

Yes, we do have that Tornado watch in effect for the WLFI viewing area until 7:00pm EDT for the counties you see above.....

This is in effect because we are going to be looking at EHI, of 3.75 to a possible 5.0. Which shows that there will be the rotation needed to support the making of tornadoes. Also we are still looking for our Lifted Index to fall between -6 and -8 with a CAPE value around 35,00J/kg to a possible 4,000J/kg. Which also would support some large hail and Dangerous Frequent Lightning.

SO all together we are looking for Scattered Thunderstorms / Few Severe / Isolated Tornado possible. Rainfall would be between a Half Inch And Three Quarters Of An Inch Possible with locally higher amounts in thunderstorms.

Main Threats Will Be.....

Dangerous Cloud To Ground Lightning. (Frequent)

Large Hail Possible.

Heavy Rainfall.

High Gusty Winds. (Gusts To 30 - 35 Mph Outside Of Thunderstorms Later On Late Tonight.)

An Isolated Tornado Cannot Be Ruled Out Just Yet.

----------------------------------

I will check back off and on through out the day..... As needed.....

(Stay Tuned)

Thanks Justin, Just took my wind chimes down and located dog leashes again, I had them ready last night, yet I left them up stairs.

Doing this just in case...Was overcast with no sun now sun peaks every now and then. At this time seeing some towers starting for form, not bad yet!

See all of you here later.
Be safe!

Yep, cloud cover here in Monticello right now...feels a bit cooler. Would feel better if that Tornado Watch was done. :p

Does anyone have any thoughts on what time these storms might arrive?

Hey Annie,

Currently looking sometime around 7:pm. And then more chances at some stronger storms later on tonight into early early A.M of Saturday.

Timing my still change and I will be back with more Blog updates through out the day as needed. ;)

Thanks, Justin! I feel better when all my husband is home for storms... he thinks the building where he works is safe, but I disagree. :)

Yours is the forecast we trust the most in this house! No kidding.

And speaking of small towns, isn't this blog (and Chad's and Mike's) great?! All these people being anxious about storms together... I love it!

Um, that comment is just supposed to say "husband" not "all my husband".... I only have one. :)

LoL, all your husbands? :)

Yeah I think things might start getting rocky around 7ish tonight.

Would be great if we got a repeat of last night with the capping, etc.
